National Recognition

ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition offered McGrath Homes national recognition when selecting them to build a new home for a young family in need in Bucks County. Community service has always been important to McGrath Homes, and the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was an incredible opportunity to prove that point! The outpouring of support from the local business community, McGrath’s trade partners and subcontractors, and hundreds of local volunteers was incredible. The result was a beautiful home for a deserving family and a tremendous source of pride for all involved.

Family Tradition

John J. McGrath, founder and president of McGrath Homes has strong roots in Bucks County, having grown up in Langhorne. John’s builder-developer lineage runs deep, dating back to his grandfather who was a successful architect in the Philadelphia area. The tradition continues with John’s son, Kevin M. McGrath, serving as Executive Director of Operations, in charge of contract management, estimating, purchasing, service, billing, and accounting. Patrick V. Flanagan, McGrath’s Senior V.P., has extensive experience in land acquisition, residential development and commercial construction and is a longtime resident of Bucks County. In addition, John’s son-in-law Richard Bayachek, is also serving as Senior Project Manager, overseeing all aspects of construction at all residential and commercial sites.
